Our popular weekend Learn-to-Sail programs are a great place to start. We usually have about 15 kids and we split the group up according to skill levels and children can start anytime so won’t feel out of place or behind.

Learn to sailSundays is from 10am-1pm, and is open to everyone (no membership required). We also run the same program on a Saturday 1pm-4pm for those who can’t make Sunday.

You are welcome to bring your child just to come have a look on Sunday and if he/she feels like it we can take them for a sail with one of the coaches. If they would like to stay and participate then that is fine, or if still not sure then that is totally fine as well and welcome to come again another time.  Sometimes when it is windy it can look a little challenging.

All the kids need is a change of clothes and a snack and something to drink. At certain times of the year it can be a little chilly so a wetsuit and wet shoes then would help. During the sailing session if any child wants to come back in or just have a break, then that is fine as well.

We have a whatsapp group for confirming numbers for Saturday and Sunday and if your child will take part then we will add you. It is our way of trying to manage how many coaches are needed and it is just a once a week message asking for a confirmation of who is attending which day.

Kids love to do things with friends and they are welcome to bring a friend or two along as well.

We use various boats for training depending on age, size, and ability of each sailor. RSTera (small fun single handed), Pico (single and double handed training boat), and the classic and legendary Optimist.

Once sailors have got the basics and show that they are ready to move on to something more challenging and interesting, we move them on to our Squad and Green fleet coaching.
